My name is Mildred, Mexican by birth, but I consider myself more of a world citizen. I left my birth country long time ago, following my dreams. I passed by Barcelona, Cambridge and Berlin.
I am temporarily based in Belgium, a country which became “MY HOME” because I married a wonderful Belgium man, that happen to be also a Diplomat.
I became a trailing spouse in 2012, which has been a great challenge for me, but also, it gave me a lot of opportunities to break through and overcome the difficulties of this nomad life, constantly looking for new ideas to rebrand myself every time we move.
I am Designer, Photographer, watercolour painter, and crafter that loves sewing and create our handmade wardrobe. Also, a traveller and a happy mother of two lovely girls who are my inspiration, motive and my biggest fans.
A couple of years ago, when we bought our house in Tervuren a small Flemish town out of the city of Brussels, a lovely place surrounded by nature, Waldorf pedagogy arrived to our life to change it forever. A lovely and friendly environment for my family who welcomed us with open arms.
The Steiner community helped me to find my pad during my time in Belgium and where I learned how to make Waldorf dolls, needle felting figures and it became a true passion for me, working with natural materials, like wool, linen, bamboo and cotton. Truly nature found its way to my over active imagination and my non stop creating hands.
I don't consider myself 100% Waldorf education, but I love the idea that speaks about the development of the child as a whole: mind, body and soul.
I have tried to start this path for a long time, and after several failed attempts here I am again with this journal, a place where shear my ideas, my creations and all that I do base in my own ideology.

I was struggling to find a name for this my little virtual home, and my husband acme up with the idea of MiNuTo, Name that came from the two first letters of my full name (MIldred NUnez TOrres), (Minuto=Minute in Spanish). Not just represent me as my name also my beliefs. I am the kind of person who enjoys every “minute” of the day, the beauty of the smallest things in nature, the last minutes of a sunset, the cracking of the tree leaves when I walk through, the sunlight, the smiles of people as they pass by.
